Welcome

Once every 3 years, the BIC meeting is organized in the Puglia region of Italy, with the aim of providing a 3-day full-immersion in the newest research on coagulation factors, hemophilias, von Willebrand factor and disease, rare bleeding disorders, ADAMTS-13, thrombotic microangiopathies, hemolytic uremic syndrome, gene therapy etc.

The meeting has a well-established tradition, being now at its 8th edition, and is quite popular among the most distinguished international experts for the speakers’ commitment to bring their most recent original data.  The Conference Programme will therefore reflect the real hot topics in the field.  Another peculiar feature of this conference is the fact of being a small meeting of high educational and research value with little commercial space other than Satellite Symposia or Lectures.  Sponsors are therefore encouraged to present their most advanced research achievements. Last but not least, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss science with the world’s leading specialists in the field leading to international cooperation on common projects.

BIC  is jointly organized by the Angelo Bianchi Bonomi Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center in Milan (P.M. Mannucci and F. Peyvandi) and Nicola Ciavarella in Bari. The meeting will be conveniently located not far from the International Airports of Bari and Brindisi on the Adriatic Sea Coast.   The venue will be communicated in the next few weeks.

The meeting will run through 3 days, with participants arriving on the evening of Thursday 2nd October 2014, and the actual sessions from Friday 3rd through all Sunday 5th October 2014.

The previous conference was held in May 2011.  Below are some data for your reference.
